bonita Final Conference

“Driving ICT Innovation – from Science to Practice”

The conference was opened by State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of Latvia: Mr. Juris Pūce and president of Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association (LIKTA), Dr. Signe Balina. After presentation of Dr. Barbara Schieferstein from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Ports of bremen bonita partners sign the Memorandum of Understanding.

Eleven presentations were delivered throughout the three conference sessions. Enterprise SPICE Advisory Board member from Vilnius University Dr. Antanas Mitasiunas introduced the audience to Enterprise SPICE: a domain independent integrated model for enterprise-wide assessment and improvement. bonita Project Manager Tanja Woronowicz (Center for Computing and Communication Technologies or TZI, University of Bremen, Germany) presented the bonita innovation and knowledge/technology transfer model.  Katrīna Sataki, who authored a study about the RTD technological audit that was performed by the Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association (LIKTA), talked about opportunities and barriers for increasing the contribution of Latvia to FP7-ICT. 

The exhibits at  bonita Final Conference presented  excellent opportunities to visit and have face to face meetings in project partners’ showrooms from Denmark, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia and Sweden and get answers to all participants` questions. TZI presented the bonitamultitouch table which showed an dynamic visualization of the bonita network and interactive presentation of the bonita transfer model.

It was at this conference that bonita partners signed a Memorandum of Understanding: an agreement between project partners to continue to support and develop the project’s results after the project’s official conclusion at the beginning of 2012.
